Certified Coding Associate Course

Course description

Would you like to enter the rewarding field of medical coding by becoming a Certified Coding Associate (CCA)? If so, Century College can help.

In the Certified Coding Associate course, you’ll learn basic coding skills, including coding guidelines for ICD-9-CM and CPT. This 16-week, comprehensive course utilizes both online and classroom instruction.

Upon successful completion of the program, you should be prepared to sit for the national CCA exam.

Prior to taking this course, it is strongly recommended that you take a medical terminology course or complete several exercises in the medical terminology book, The Language of Medicine.

You will receive information about a pre-class orientation to online learning prior to the class start date.

Instructor

The instructor is Jodi Hermann, RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) and CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) Coding/Compliance Coordinator.
