Truck Driving Program

Commercial Truck Driving (CDL Courses)

At Century College, we offer Commercial Truck Driving Courses for the Class A and B licenses.

Commercial Driver’s License Course – Class A

Drivers with a Class A license usually drive a combination vehicle (i.e., a tractor pulling a trailer).
  • Monthly start dates: 180 hours – 20-day course
  • Course time: Usually 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Tuition - $3,795 – includes textbook, handouts, fuel
  • Evening and weekend classes are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Commercial Driver’s License Course – Class B

Drivers with a Class B license usually drive a straight truck (i.e., package delivery truck, dump truck, etc.)
  • Monthly start dates: 40 hours – 5 day course
  • Course time: Usually 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Tuition - $1095 – includes textbook, handouts, fuel
  • Evening and weekend classes are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Individual/Small Group Instruction

Practice or learn driving skills with individual instruction at a mutually convenient time.
  • Students must purchase time in 2-hour increments.
  • Tuition - $125 per hour

  • Training Team-- Our instructors have a wide variety of teaching and driving experience, and are dedicated to the success of student drivers.

  • Equipment-- Century students train in new 2007 multi-speed transmission trucks.
  • Testing-- Department of Transportation license examiners administer the driving exam. Program equipment is used for testing.
  • Placement-- We work directly with trucking companies and will assist students in locating companies that hire student drivers.
