Services offered
The mission of Century College Student Health Service is to support student academic success through quality medical care. A wide range of services and programs are offered, including:
- First aid
- Medications
- Referrals to doctors and dentists
- Blood pressure checks
- Weight and vision checks
- Free informational pamphlets
- Mantoux injections
Special programs such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Blood Pressure Screenings and a Quit Smoking Display
Patient Bill of Rights
All patients should be treated with respect, consideration, and dignity and have the appropriate level of privacy. Patient records are treated with confidentially except when required by law, and patients are given the opportunity to approve or refuse the release of the record.
Immunizations
The Student Health Service offers mantoux skin tests to the medical programs that require them. The St. Paul Ramsey County Department of Public Health offers other immunizations. Contact the Ramsey County Department of Public Health online or at 651-266-1234
Student Insurance
Following are key points to keep in mind regarding student insurance:
- All domestic undergraduate students taking six or more credits, and all domestic graduate students taking six or more credits, are eligible for the MnSCU Student Injury and Sickness Insurance.
- All international students are required to purchase the policy for the full year. (See Visa status)
- If the company discovers the eligibility requirements have not been met, its only obligation is to refund the premium.
- Student insurance is effective the first day of the semester in August. You must meet the eligibility requirements listed to continue the policy.
