Register for Conferences and Workshops

Ten-Step Registration Process

Welcome to Employee Development, where you can register for conferences and workshops. Here is the ten-step process that occurs when you register for a conference or a workshop:

  1. You identify a workshop or conference you want to take.
  2. You complete an online registration form.
  3. A copy of the registration information form is sent to Employee Development.
  4. Employee Development will consider funding the request based on available resources.
  5. If funding for the requested conference or workshop is approved, Employee Development will complete a 101 form for the request and send it to the business office for processing.
  6. The business office assigns a purchase order number to the request.
  7. If the conference/workshop is being paid with a purchase order, allow at least 2 ½ weeks.
  8. If the vendor is set up to receive payment electronically a check will not be issued for payment.
  9. It takes at least 10 working days for a check to be cut and come back from the Department of Finance for payment.
  10. If there isn't enough time to get a PO number and the workshop or conference has been approved, you can pay for it and then submit a receipt and a SEMA4 Form to get reimbursed later.
