Natural Science

Program description

Will a mega tsunami destroy the east coast of the United States? Could you survive a tornado or hurricane? Will the Yellowstone National Park super volcano erupt in your lifetime? You can find answers to these and other key questions when you take a natural science course at Century College.

From atmospheric processes, geologic principles, oceanography, and the energy systems that drive them – you will gain new insights and understanding of the world through natural science courses. In addition, you'll learn how the earth's systems affect your life and the plants and animals that inhabit the earth – an increasingly important question in today's environment-conscious world.

Courses in natural science are also an excellent option to help fulfill the science requirement for your associate degree or certificate program. Natural Science courses are also included in the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum
