NO: There are several on campus resources designed to help you to succeed here at Century. Below you will find a list of academic resources and a brief description of what each particular program offers for students. Simply click on the program title and you will be directed to its website. Remember that all of these services are FREE.

Academic Support Center (W2460): Here you will find the home of the Access Center/Assessment, Student Resources, Peer Tutoring, and Student Support Services/TRiO.

Access Services (W2460): Our Access Center is designed to give students with disabilities equal access to the college’s facilities. Access Center assists faculty and staff in understanding and arranging for academic accommodations and provides information about students’ disability-related needs.

Counseling and Career Center (W2410): All students can receive career counseling, academic advising, and personal counseling. Both scheduled and walk-in appointments are available.

East Campus Student Support Center (E2523): Receive academic support, LifePlan workshops, tutoring, and test-taking strategies, and much more! Our mission is to promote technical student success. The Support Center has both professional tutors and peer tutors, so help is available!

ESOL Center (E1552, 651-747-4031): The ESOL Center assists bilingual and multilingual students in adjusting to college academic and social life. ESOL students can get help with vocabulary development, note taking, writing and grammar, reading English, listening and speaking, and American culture. In addition, the Center offers ESOL tutoring, study groups, contact with English-speaking volunteers, and a place to meet other students. The ESOL Center consists of a state-of-the-art digital language lab, computer lab, and study space. The ESOL lab assistant and peer tutors are also available to help students connect to appropriate resources in the college, such as the Intercultural Club, financial aid, and multicultural activities.

Language Lab (W1190): Located in Room 1190, West Campus, this lab serves Century College’s language students by offering assistance with classroom assignments, assigned lab work, and conversation. Computer-assisted learning programs are available. Students with personal interests involving French, German and Spanish (such as correspondence with pen pals), are welcome to use the lab

Library: Century College Library has branches on both east and west campuses containing a variety of material and services to support the college curriculum. You can also access the library databases online.

Peer Tutoring (W2460/E2523): Gain tutoring from a faculty-recommended student who has taken the same class you are currently taking! Tutoring is FREE and is available to everyone taking classes at Century (up to 15 hours per semester).

Reading and Study Skills Center (W3250): This center is open to all students seeking assistance in reading and study skills. You can get ideas on engaging books to read, use computers for research and coursework, and receive guidance and support.

SSS/TRIO (Student Support Services/W2460): Students who meet eligibility requirements for SSS can benefit from their professional tutoring, in-house counselor, and a variety of different activities and events. The purpose of SSS is to increase college retention, graduation and transfer rates of students who are serious about getting a degree but may face barriers in that endeavor.

TEAM (The Education Achievement Mission/E2542): Our goal is to help students to succeed here at Century! Similarly to SSS, we offer professional tutoring, workshops, activities, and much more! We’re geared toward folks in 2-year and technical programs, but all are welcome to apply!

The Mathematics Resource Center (W3315): Assistance with mathematics is available to all students on a drop in basis. Our center is staffed by math professionals, so come on in!

Writing Center (W3370): All are welcome to come in for individual assistance and/or group work. Consultants can discuss the writing process, development and paper organization, and help students identify strengths and weaknesses in their writing. Consultants will not proofread students’ work.
